Welcome to Corona's Coffee Shop, a hidden gem nestled in Tampa, Florida, at 9307 N Nebraska Ave. As a reviewer passionate about food, I can't help but be captivated by this delightful Latin American café that brings the essence of home-cooked meals right to your table.
The moment you step inside, the warm and welcoming ambiance invites you to relax. Though the space is simple—characterized by its unmarked parking lot and cement block construction—it's the heartwarming food and friendly service that leave a lasting impression. As you sit down, the aroma of freshly brewed Cuban coffee fills the air, instantly reminding you of fond memories shared over a comforting cup.
But it’s not just the coffee that draws in the crowd; the menu is a celebration of breakfast offerings that are both hearty and soul-satisfying:
- Corona's Omelets: Choose from an array of meats like bacon, sausage, or ham, impeccably paired with onions, green peppers, and tomatoes. Served with either Cuban or white toast, these omelets are a winner and start at just $7.95.
- Breakfast Sandwiches: The crispy toasted Cuban bread cradles delicious fillings, such as the Bacon, Eggs, and Cheese Sandwich ($7.00) or the classic BLT Sandwich ($5.55).
- Breakfast Plates: For those craving a heartier meal, options range from French Toast, Eggs, and Meat Plate ($9.55) to the traditional Mangu, 2 Eggs, Salami, and Fried Cheese Plate ($11.00).
Patrons rave about the flavors, with one customer, Maria D., applauding the service, stating how a missing dish turned into a delightful surprise with a homemade version. Reviews echo with sentiments of how the food evokes a sense of being cared for like by a beloved family member. The thoughtful care of the staff, especially Yohanna and her team, makes every visit feel like home. Customer Keith B.'s description of the tasty breakfast omelet coupled with Cuban coffee exemplifies why this spot is a must-try.
The coffee is often mentioned in customer feedback as exceptional. Eliud N. even likened the flavor to the coffee made by his mother. Meanwhile, Jasmine M. reminisced about delicious grits reminiscent of her time in South Carolina, though she lamented the fresh fish running out. All in all, the quality of each dish shines through, making this café a quintessential experience for anyone seeking comfort food in Tampa.
If you find yourself in the area—perhaps on your way to Busch Gardens—a stop at Corona's Coffee Shop should be on your itinerary. With its unbeatable coffee, hearty breakfasts, and service that feels like a warm embrace, it’s a destination where you can enjoy homemade goodness. Come for the food, stay for the warmth.

Excelente y muy amable. Pedí si tenían mangu y la persona me dijo que no había, pero que me hacía uno. Riquísimo no tuve tiempo de tirar foto porque tenía hambre. Uno de los mejores servicios.

A place to sit and eat home made food that feels like your Mom is taking care of you after a hard week at school. This place and the love that Yohanna and the kitchen staff showed our field agent and her companion service animal was top notch.

Bare Bones but Tasty Corona's is exceedingly simple: unmarked parking lot, cement block building, counter, short menu, a few tables, a TV that doesn't work. But we didn't go there for the atmosphere. We got an omelet which was very tasty and came with two large pieces of Cuban bread and a breakfast sandwich with eggs and bacon on the same bread. The bacon was especially delicious. All that and a large Cuban coffee made for a very good breakfast. Next time I'll probably focus on take-away and get the sandwich and coffee.

Great place for a breakfast sandwich and the staff are very friendly. The coffee reminds me of my moms

Coffee was amazing omg and the grits were delicious as hell, haven't had good grits since South Carolina. Wish they didn't run out of the fresh fish though.

Great little spot with the best coffee and perfect Cuban. We love to stop here on our way to spend the day at Busch Gardens
